First in hostel :(

After my higher secondary course, not sure about which future to choose, a doctor? or an engineer? My brother was already an engineering student then. So, it comes like that, if one is engineer, the other can be a doctor (what the hell his condition is). The ‘other’ mentioned above was me. I was made up with a mind with the above said sentence, not knowing what actually medical profession was.
My father who thinks for my best, found an institution which was one of the best. The top rank holders in the state and the country were made from there. The institution was 12 hours away from the home. I was not been away from my home since I was born. Here, the situation forces me to take a hostel life, my first.
That day, on which I was to leave from my home. I was playing my favorite game in my computer and ended up not completing it. I went to my father’s elder brother’s home. I said to him,
“I’m leaving now...”
“When are you back..?”
That was the same question I was asking to myself, when I’ll be back to my home to complete my favorite game.
“Probably a year after..”
He was a little shocked and he said,
“Walk, I’ll come to depart you…”
When I was to enter the car, he gave me a 50 rupees and a more valuable hug. I was tired of that, he was crying when I was leaving my home.
“He is like that..” said my dad, driving the car.
On the way to railway station, dad bought me new footwear to step into a new life. Everything was going like I was sent to a new world of unknown people, no family, no old friends. My mind was crawling in the darkness. Can I make this journey a success or not?
We reached station. My dad also came with me, first time travelling for a long distance without my complete family. I felt complete absence. I took out my mp3 player and started hearing music. I was not sleeping that night, thinking of what kind of sleep I’m going to have on the coming nights. Sleeping without my family around, in a completely new world. My heart started to beat faster.
We reached the institution and completed the formalities. Then we moved to the hostel, buying a bed and pillow in the way. WhenI reached the hostel there were no other students there. The helper boy showed the way to my room in the top floor away from the stairs. Felt away from the ground.
The next step was to see the hostel warden. Met him. He said,
“Hi, we have some rules and regulations here for you.
You can’t use mobile phone here, no mp3 players or such gadgets.
You should be in your room every time the warden checks.
You should not go to other’s rooms
You should be in the hostel not more than half an hour after the class ends
You should ask permission from the warden to get out of the hostel…”
Enough enough!!…my mind said
I felt, what a fool I was, wasting time on filling my favorite songs into “my” mp3 player, and took the mobile phone with me that I can talk with “my” friends.
Now this man will decide when I should go out and whom I should talk with. A new world with new restrictions, which I never had.
We again went to my allotted room. Dad washed his face and changed his dress. He kept his bunion in my bag and said, you should have a use.

He went to my home, leaving me alone away from my home.
(Though its natural to me now...think it was my first experience nad i am closely connected to my family)
I was fried up at this moment.
I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My face was looking like, I want to cry. I cried, silently.
